I totally did a little Shining parody at the end there...did anyone notice the reference?

I'm not sure why I can't seem to stop writing songs into the comic lately! I might even say I love this one more than "Love at First Site" but perhaps only because of the amazing Air-Tuba. Did you know it's hard to pretend to play a tuba without holding one? One never knows where their hands should float to ROCK OUT.

By the way the lovely actresses today are my older sister Kath and her girlfriend the pink-haired and awesome Sue.

Looks like we made it 150 and now have 41 human cast members who've appeared! This once a week thing actually made me super excited to create today's comic, something I honestly haven't been in a long time. Maybe all I really needed to get rid of my bout of pouts was to polka a little. Polka makes everything better.

Oh, yeah and just in case you were like me and pronouncing it wrong all your life, I just recently found out "Sioux" rhymes with "You." For some reason I found this to be the most fascinating thing in the world.

When I was a wee lass, I was a member of the "Indian Princesses", a father/daughter bonding organization, and my unit was the "souix nation", so luckily i had the reverse problem (never knew how to spell it properly until much later in life).

And no, I looked high and low for a Shining reference, and could not find it Sad

Whatever, I love the songs.  This and the double-date song ("I ain't never gonna go-etry") are definitely two of my favorite comics.

So how did you pronounce it? I wasn't aware that there really was more than one way.

My guess is probably something like "Soo-weeks"? "Sooks"? "Sweeks"? "Soiks"?

Before GCSE history where one of the modules is the American West I thought it was "Si-oo". But now I know better.

In Mrs. Olson's politically-correct sixth grade Minnesota History class, we had to call the Sioux the Dakota (or Lakota or Nakota, as the region may be.)

Then we sang songs about black voyageurs, pretended that Lincoln never ordered the mass execution of 38 Dakota by public hanging, and made scrapbooks about our AWESOME new governor, Jesse Ventura.

Good times.

Good ol'* Gov Jesse has done at least one good thing for our country. The last election I didn't vote in, he was elected governor. I have voted in every. single. election since then.

I would like to clarify that he is not governor anymore; we now have an ordinary, non-famous, smarter-than-a-rock politician in office.

*used sarcastically.
