Fluff Radio 50: Carelessly Falling Over the Hill

To say this took me a loooong time to edit is an understatement! I wound up cutting out almost three hours so if it sounds a bit choppy then it's because it's been a bit choppied up! It's a loooooong one but I think its' pretty awesome. Congrats to BoB who won our ROAST contest and super HUGE thank you to Jason who was our big donater to the show. You guys are so awesome.
Just in case you can't make it through the drunken opening to the show here are some of the big musical hits!
Carelessly Whispering (Wham's classic redone...with the exception of that AMAZING first note this is pretty painful, specially the part my boob attacks me mic...but hold out till the end because it ROCKS)
Fluff Radio House Band's "Add It Up" (originally by Sir Gordan Gano and those crazy Violent Femmes)
This one didn't make it into the final show, but it was too good to not post in some way shape or form:
Ziggy Ziggy Ziggy (by Mason, Marianne, Mikey, Anya and Annie originally by some dude named David Bowie)
Thanks again to all you listeners who've been so damn awesome. We adore each and every one of you. Also thanks to our past musical guests (we've got a SWEET one lined up for next week). Without you guys our show would be all armpit farts and poop jokes without any culture. You guys make my tush shake in the most wonderful way.
Okay I'm done being sappy for now...onto the poll of sexiness! Which Mason Brown is hotter? Vote above and determine the future of Mason's lady-life (aka his life with the ladies...not a sex change...though he DOES look
pretty hott as a lady
)
vs. this (he was a tadpolite back in the day):

Possibly the best part of any podcast; CAFV and Anya having a drunken conversation while drunken music occurs in the other ear piece. I think The Velvet Underground did that once.

What?? I take offense to that!
Although technically, I suppose you didn't say that armpit *jokes* have no culture... very well. You may carry on...

My favorite part as well! (Though it's been driving me crazy I can't figure out what song they are playing in the background!)
Oh Zarmpit, you're my favorite evil twin who I am not sure who controls!
Hey since a couple of people asked, if you want to send a fancy holiday card or some tri-flavored popcorn or a WOOO YOU HIT 50 note you can send it here:

It was a cover of "Take Your Mama" originally by the Scissor Sisters.
I can't work out if it's more embarrassing if I'm wrong or right.

That photo of the fish flying out of Annie's head is one of the greatest things I've seen this year.
As a result of this show, I still get jumpy when I hear the words "steg" or "stegosaurus." Two-inch stegs are the new landsharks!
Also - 'stache. The boy hasn't had a chin in 10 years! Chins are meant to run wild and free upon the faces of society! Bust those beards!
My vote for song at the next party is for "Rumpshaker" only so I can play that sax riff on a kazoo and hear a dozen or so drunk people say "all I wanna do is zooma-zoom-zoom-zoom and a boom-boom" three times fast.

woo! I just listened to the show, and I think the best song was the one you and anya were dialoguing over. I was wondering if you could remove your half of the spectrum and post it. But the other songs rocked too. Cheers to the FRB (I love acronyms), hopefully they won't look as (un)dead as the Rolling Stones 50 years hence.
I also must agree that the fish photo is awesome. I kinda like the old woman on the balloon too. If you leave it out for like a day, the balloon will sag and it'd be sooo realistic.

Fantabulous show guys! Next year I think that Abe Lincoln and Jimmy should sing a duet. Y'know like that one episode of Boy Meets World where the gang went to a bar and did jealous-karaoke.

Terrific show, but I'm afraid you'll have to establish yourself as the 52nd state, Colleen. I've already petitioned myself for secession, defined my legal boundaries, and asked Santa for a pony to be named Sparkles, who will sleep in my boat. Congress was nice enough to make me this flag, which I thought was really sweet of them, you know, considering they're Congress and all.

And now, a confession sure to warm Colleen's heart: I've had "The Winds Of Swayze" on my iPod ever since the last party. I can do the whole song, complete with the drunken CAFV-inserted lines. Felicidades por un otro ano, chicas.
On the poll question: I have a full beard. I like my full beard. And yet the 'stache does indeed make my knees melt. I voted against my own peeps and for the 'stache.

Either way, at least you're not the one who knows how to drunkenly play (most of) it on guitar.
When we listened to the show the day after, I was actually majorly embarassed that I even played that song, so I'm glad you guys seemed to like it...
ps. I vote for a moustachioed mason.
